The speed at which mobile devices, mobile apps, and Internet of Things are entering the market is rapid, · Students will each have a digital device. It may be a tablet PC, laptop, Chromebook or Surface -- that won\'t matter. What\'s important is that it is portable, sturdy, fits in a backpack, and is digitally secure. <a name=\'more\'></a> All student work will be done on these. Losing one would be worse than losing a backpack -- much worse and with more and more of that it is no surprise we are seeing the school classrooms as an early adopter of this tech. With mobile and tablets devices at the heart of how thestudents interacts, it naturally falls to education technology to pioneer mobile innovation and enable pupils to have a more and morecreating learning experience. To do this, they must invest in technology that does not hinder pupil’s natural desire to be mobile, but also keep them focused on the task in hand. With the curriculum constantly developing and formats of major exams and A Levels changing it is important to ensure that IT and other departmental functions can continue to evolve to meet the needs of pupils and staff in order to give pupils the best opportunities. Through working closely with our customers in education, we are in constant discussion over the changing demands of the classroom, these include: device proliferation, app usage, room/building environments, IoT onset, pupil and teacher collaboration and data-driven decision making, to name just a few. Education is changing. Teachers no longer primarily lecture from the front of the class. Students don\'t fervently copy the instructor’s words down, read text, and memorize material for a test. · Keyboarding will be taught and reinforced in all classes. The struggle over whether keyboarding is a real subject will be settled pedagogy. It will be akin to grammar--every teacher reinforces grammar -- or school dress. Keyboarding will be accepted as one of those cross-class academic tools that is important everywhere.
